God is raising up a worship and prayer movement that is sweeping the earth at this hour of history. We believe the Holy Spirit is orchestrating this worldwide movement as a fulfillment of His desire that His House would be a House of Prayer and that it would be filled with joy! (ISA. 56:7) We also believe this movement will usher in the end time global harvest and reach a crescendo before the Lord returns; as the bowls of intercession will become full in Heaven (Rev. 5:8).
In the fall of 2002, the Lord spoke to Pastor Francis Anfuso (Senior Pastor of The Rock of Roseville) regarding establishing a house of prayer in Roseville, CA. On October 31, 2003, the Roseville House of Prayer (RHOP) was birthed as the fulfillment of this “call” and placed in a “neutral” location as a gift to the city. In December of 2007, the Lord again spoke clearly to Pastor Francis, that He wanted RHOP to come “home”, becoming “one” with The Rock of Roseville. As of May 12th, RHOP merged with the Rock of Roseville, functioning as both a local and regional House of Prayer; under the new name: the Rock House of Prayer.
The Rock House of Prayer consists of various two-hour meetings throughout the week. We have one “harp and bowl” model with four different formats: Intercessory Worship, Prophetic Worship, Worship with the Word and Devotionals. Each format focuses on its own theme. The "Harp and Bowl” model is the combination of worship and intercession flowing together at the same time and is built around the worship reality around God’s throne (Rev. 5:8). The Rock House of Prayer is staffed by full-time and part-time Intercessory Missionaries, serving in this capacity as their primary occupation and raising their own financial support.
Our primary goal in establishing a House of Prayer in Roseville, California is to help awaken and strengthen the Church in the Sacramento region in intimacy with God and prepare an end-time generation by providing a location for night and day prayer and worship unto the Lord. Another goal is to see the Church take her place in intercession as the Bride of Christ who partners with Jesus to cry out for the cities, the nations and the world. We desire to see hearts fully awakened with the intimate knowledge of Jesus and of His passionate, jealous love for the Church. We call this revelation the Bridal Paradigm, found throughout the Bible, but especially in the Song of Solomon.
Both of these goals are aided by the “Harp and Bowl” model found in Rev. 4 and 5. This “worship and prayer” model incorporates music, prophetic singing and Word-based prayer to make it both powerful and enjoyable. Harp and Bowl intercession always has a theme, for example, justice, marriage, government, national and global revival and the church, etc.
